ST. PETERSBURG, January 30. /TASS/. St. Petersburg has set up 99 COVID-19 vaccination sites so far, and work is underway to increase the capacity of each one, the inter-agency city coordination council tasked with combating the spread of COVID-19 informed.
"COVID-19 vaccination continues to gain steam. The number of vaccination sites based on medical organizations of various types taking part in the vaccination campaign is going up, so far there are 99 of them. Organizational work is underway at the same time to increase the capacity of each vaccination site. In order to prevent new outbreaks of infection, residents of St. Petersburg must take active part in vaccination," the message informs.
So far, 61,894 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in St. Petersburg, and 11,150 of them received both doses.
According to recent data, St. Petersburg has documented 331,956 cases of COVID-19, it ranks second on coronavirus cases after Moscow. Meanwhile, 229,049 patients have died and 9,686 have recovered. In the past 24 hours, the city documented 2,512 cases of infection.
