HAIKOU /China/, August 15. /TASS/. The series of events will run from October 1 to 10, Haikou Daily reported.
The Party committee and the city government have organized the large-scale event, which will be held under the slogan "Opportunities in Haikou, Vitality in Haikou."
The purpose of the Art Week is to promote the development of the local culture and entertainment industry, and to organize a colorful and rich holiday for tourists and residents of the city, the paper said.
This event is expected to help lay the foundation for the development of a local brand of internationally oriented and market-driven art festivals. The events are also expected to provide an impetus for the accelerated development of Haikou's restaurant, hotel and transportation sectors. As mentioned above, they are expected to enhance the city's image and may prove to be an important stimulus for the formation of a multi-level consumer sector.
