Hainan holds Second Forum of Rectors of Russian-Chinese Associations Universities

SANYA /China/, May 6. /The 2nd Forum of Rectors of Russian-Chinese Associations of Specialized Universities was held in the city of Sanya in China's southern province of Hainan, Sanya Daily reported.

There currently are 13 Russian-Chinese associations of specialized universities, which include a total of about 700 educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the PRC, the paper wrote. Among them are associations of economic universities, pedagogical educational institutions, medical universities and others.

The provincial authorities pay great attention to international cooperation in the field of education, pay special attention to Russian-Chinese humanitarian exchanges in the educational sphere, and support Hainan educational institutions in their efforts to join Russian-Chinese associations of specialized universities, the newspaper cited Tang Zhenfu, head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Hainan Provincial Department of Education, as saying.

The forum was held at Sanya University. According to Sanya Daily, the event was organized with the support of the China Center for International Humanitarian Exchanges under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China together with the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE, Beijing) and St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

The 1st Forum of Rectors of Russian-Chinese Associations of Specialized Universities was held in December 2022 in the online format.
