MOSCOW, February 24. /TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 13,829 over the past day to 22,232,492, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Friday.
A day earlier, 14,721 daily cases were recorded.
As many as 786 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 51.8% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in ten regions, while in 68 regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in seven regions. A day earlier, 1,632 people were rushed to hospitals.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,250 over the past day versus 2,947 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,411,541, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,345 over the past day versus 1,407 a day earlier, reaching 1,873,832.
COVID-19 recoveries
Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 12,618 over the past day, reaching 21,570,255, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.
A day earlier some 15,028 patients recovered.
COVID-19 death toll
Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 32 over the past day, reaching 395,970, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.
A day earlier 37 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
