243 people more evacuated from Mariupol during day — DPR

On February 24, the Russian president announced a special military operation in response to a request for help by the heads of the Donbass republics

DONETSK, March 21. /TASS/. As many as 243 people were evacuated from Mariupol during the day, the territorial defense headquarters of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said on Monday.

"From 08:00am to 18:00 on March 21, as many as 243 people, including 37 children, were evacuated from Mariupol to Bezymyannoye," it wrote on its Telegram account.

On Sunday, DPR forces evacuated 466 people, including 89 children.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in response to a request for help by the heads of the Donbass republics. He stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories, but aimed to demilitarize and denazify the country.
