Russian president, PM arrive at Cathedral of Christ the Savior for Easter service

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and other social and political figures are also attending the service

MOSCOW, April 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and his wife came to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior for Easter service.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and other social and political figures are also attending the service. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia is conducting it.

The tradition to carry out Easter services in the country’s main cathedral was established in 2001, when Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia carried out Easter service in the rebuilt church.
