Roughly 400 civilians remain in Sudzha, surrounding settlements

Apty Alaudinov noted that emergency services and the military have also joined the evacuation effort

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Around 400 civilians are still in the city of Sudzha and nearby settlements, with half of them in the district center, Lieutenant General Apty Alaudinov, commander of the Russian Armed Forces’ Akhmat commando unit, told TASS.

"More than 200 people remain in Sudzha and directly neighboring settlements. Yesterday, we confirmed that over 100 people were in Kazachya Loknya. Yesterday in the evening, our guys transported 19 people [out of the settlement]. Since today’s early hours, our soldiers have been engaged in transporting the rest of our civilians. In total, we have evidence of over 400 people being in this area," he said.

The commander noted that emergency services and the military have also joined the evacuation effort.
