Ukraine’s army attacks Russia’s Belgorod Region with over 30 drones in past day

During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian army fired eight munitions and launched five drones on the Graivoronsky district, damaging five private homes

BELGOROD, March 7. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military attacked nine districts of Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region with 32 drones and 25 munitions over the past 24 hours, injuring three civilians, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Friday.

"In the Shebekinsky municipal district, the town of Shebekino, the villages of Belyanka, Murom and Novaya Tavolzhanka and the farmsteads Maryino and Mukhin came under three bombardments by eight munitions and attacks by five drones, of which four were shot down. Two men were injured in the shelling of the town of Shebekino," the governor wrote.

The attacks on the Shebekinsky municipal district damaged three apartment buildings and 17 private homes, an administrative building, seven cars and an electricity transmission line, he specified.

During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian army fired eight munitions and launched five drones on the Graivoronsky district, damaging five private homes. A woman who suffered from explosives dropped by a Ukrainian drone in the village of Rozhdestvenka on the night of March 6 applied for medical assistance. The Valuisky district was attacked by four Ukrainian drones, as a result of which an outbuilding and two vehicles were damaged, the governor said.

The Ukrainian military fired six munitions and launched two drones on the Volokonovsky district, damaging a private household. In the Borisovsky district, the farmstead Klimovoye came under an attack by a Ukrainian drone, which damaged a private home, he said.

Russian air defenses shot down seven Ukrainian drones over the Belgorodsky, Korochansky and Starooskolsky municipal districts, with no injuries or damage reported, he added.

The Krasnoyaruzhsky district came under an attack by three munitions and eight drones, with no consequences, the governor reported.
