MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. More than 2,000 residents of the Graivoron district of the Belgorod Region have been placed in temporary accommodation in the borderline Russian region, with over 1,000 locals currently being in temporary accommodation in the Voronezh and Yaroslavl regions as well as Karachay-Cherkessia, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"More than 1,000 our adult [citizens] are living in temporary accommodation in the Voronezh Region, the Yaroslavl Region and Karachay-Cherkessia, and over 2,000 people from the Graivoron district have been placed in temporary accommodation in the Belgorod Region," Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the official, children from the city Belgorod and adjacent areas as well as the Shebekino and Graivoron districts have been arriving in other regions. "Yesterday, 300 of our children arrived in the Lipetsk Region, and 250 others - in the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region," he specified.
So far, over 3,500 children have been accommodated elsewhere in Russia, Gladkov added.
