Kremlin could engage with alternative forces in Kiev after attaining goals of special op

Such contacts are possible after achieving the goals of a special military operation, said the press secretary of the President of Russia

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Some political forces in Ukraine are dissatisfied with the current Kiev regime, but Moscow could engage with them only after fulfilling the goals of its special military operation, the Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told Izvestia.

"There remain forces in Ukraine who dislike the current Kiev regime, and a part of these forces, albeit small, is still in Kiev, and another part is outside it," Peskov maintained. There are some representatives of these forces in Russia, he specified.

When asked whether Moscow could engage with those only after it attained the goals of its special op, the Kremlin spokesman said, "Certainly so. So far, we can see that the regime currently reigning in Kiev favors Nazis and Nazi manifestations in the Ukrainian public."

According to Peskov, the Kiev regime "has been promoting these manifestations, fostering them and working hard to keep up the Nazi hype in the public, using mass media, bogus stories and the entire range of every possible means.".
