Russia, Turkey have disagreements, but mutually beneficial partnership prevails — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov pointed out that the countries work together on major economic projects

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russian-Turkish relations are not without controversy, but a mutually beneficial partnership is predominant, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a televised interview with Belarus-24 channel on Saturday.

"We have excellent relations with Turkey. They are not without controversy, they are not without, let me say, issues of complete misunderstanding of each other, but nevertheless a partnership based on mutual benefit prevails in these relations," Peskov said.

Peskov pointed out that the countries work together on major economic projects, although the economies of Russia and Turkey are not as intertwined as the economies of Russia and Belarus.

"We have a completely different level of cooperation there," he stated.
