NEW YORK, December 3. /TASS/. The US Department of Justice has forwarded a request to a court of New York demanding to confiscate $3.435 million in proceeds from the sale of a recording studio that, according to the United States, had been allegedly connected with Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska.

According to the US Department of Justice, the current issue is about the recording studio Ocean Studios California LLC, located in the US state of California.

US state prosecutors claim that the studio was purchased for the sum of over $3 million in 2008 and was then sold in 2019. In 2021, Wells Fargo Bank blocked the Ocean Studios account, because of the company's alleged ties to the Russian businessman.

In 2018, the United States introduced restrictive measures in regard to Deripaska.
