Russia’s foreign trade surplus down to $15.3 bln in January — February 2023

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. The foreign trade surplus of Russia dropped by more than 2.8 times year-on-year in January - February 2023 and stood at $15.3 bln, the Central Bank said on Friday.

The current account surplus fell by more than 2.9 times in the reporting period to $12.9 bln.

"A significant contraction of the positive balance of goods and services is driven by the decline of the cost volume of exports of goods amid the drop in physical volumes of supplies and global process for main groups of Russian export goods," the regulator said.
