MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Gazprom Neft plans to fully maintain the program for modernization of its refineries, head of the company’s oil and gas refining department Oleg Vedernikov said in an interview with Gazprom’s in-house magazine, adding that it also kept the period for implementation of the agreement with the Energy Ministry on modernization and construction of new refineries unchanged.
"We fully maintain the program for refineries’ modernization. We see no difficulties in the operation of the enterprises," he said.
Since 2015, the company has been working to re-orient its service providers and maintenance services to domestic producers, Vedernikov noted. "We launched our own production of spare parts at our subsidiaries in Omsk. Which means we ensure full sovereignty on the issue, servicing our facilities and maintaining them ourselves," he added.
The upgrade of refineries implies deeper refining, introducing cutting-edge digital solutions and making enterprises more environmentally friendly, the official said, adding that the company also plans to continue searching for and developing its own technologies, from production of catalyzers to providing raw materials for the pharmaceuticals industry, as well as expanding the production of parts for equipment.
