Kremlin tight-lipped on ‘plans’ to involve business in meeting special military op’s needs

However, Dmitry Peskov admitted that this topic could be touched upon in a conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov remained mum on whether plans are in store to involve big business in meeting the needs of the Russian armed forces or adjusting production to the needs of the special military operation.

"I can't say anything about it yet. I'll leave that without a comment," he said, answering the relevant question.

The Kremlin official also drew attention to the fact that "many entrepreneurs are already actively involved in various programs to support the [Russian] armed forces anyway."

"They make huge donations, and assist in repairing equipment and providing supplies to military personnel and in their rehabilitation and treatment," he explained.

However, Peskov admitted that this topic could be touched upon in a conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The Kremlin does not exclude that the head of state may take part in the congress of the organization. "If such questions are asked at the meeting, the topic will be discussed accordingly," he promised.
