Indian oil major removes Russian Urals from latest tender, says agency

Apart from Urals, such high-sulphur crude grades as Das, Eugene Island, Thunder Horse were no longer on the list of grades under IOC’s latest tender, Reuters reported

LONDON, April 13. /TASS/. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has excluded several crude grades, including Russian Urals, from its latest tender, Reuters reported citing trade sources.

Apart from Urals, such high-sulphur crude grades as Das, Eugene Island, Thunder Horse were no longer on the list of grades under IOC’s latest tender, which closed on Tuesday, according to the agency.

The Indian oil major imports crude for itself and on behalf of its Chennai Petroleum subsidiary. Chennai is now seeking sweet crude instead of sour oil, one of the sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

IOC purchased 6 mln barrels of Russian Urals with shipments in May during the previous tender.
