VILNIUS, April 4. /TASS/. Lithuanian authorities decided to suspend hosting for companies that want to transfer their business from Russia, the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy said on Monday.
"The issue of intermediation letters to international companies operating in Russia regarding the transfer of the business to Lithuania is suspended because it does not correspond to expectations of the society," Minister Ausrine Armonaite said.
Vilnius is afraid that persons not loyal to Lithuania can come to the country in case of such transfer.
Three small international companies earlier working in the IT sphere in Russia relocated to Lithuania before the end of March. Five more international companies are also discussing such relocation, according to the Economy Ministry.
The Minister did not detail when such procedure would be resumed.
