Cooperation facilitating unity among post-Soviet security bloc’s members — Putin

The Russian leader pointed to growing defense cooperation between the organization’s member states

MINSK, November 23. /TASS/. Cooperation between members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) brings them closer together, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"It is quite important that joint activities within the CSTO facilitate unity among our countries and people, as well as efforts to preserve the memory of our common history and achievements," the Russian president stated at a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council.

Putin pointed to growing defense cooperation between the organization’s member states. "The CSTO’s intergovernmental commission on military and economic issues, created at Russia’s initiative, is actively engaged in the process," the Russian leader added.
