MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. Enterprises of the state tech corporation Rostec are building up military output and frequently delivering advanced weapons to Russian troops under the defense procurement plan ahead of schedule, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov told TASS on Wednesday.
"Today the corporation’s enterprises are doing everything possible to build up military output," the chief executive said on the occasion of the corporation’s 15th anniversary.
"The workforces of Uralvagonzavod, TsNIITochMash, the Kalashnikov Group, the High Precision Systems Holding Company, enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation and other production facilities engaged in fulfilling the defense procurement plan are working in three-four shifts. The Defense Ministry regularly receives new batches of aircraft, armor, artillery systems, small arms, gear and a lot of other items," he said.
Rostec accounts for almost a half of the country’s entire defense procurement plan and it has been almost 100% fulfilled over the past few years, he stressed.
"In September, Uralvagonzavod, dispatched a batch of TOS-1A heavy flamethrowers to the Defense Ministry, delivered a new batch of T-90M tanks, and also supplied a batch of Malka howitzers in October ahead of schedule," Chemezov said.
In September, Rostec delivered a new batch of Su-35S fighters produced at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant to the Russian Aerospace Forces. In addition, the enterprise is expanding its production capacities for rolling out Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jets. Moreover, fighters in the process of their manufacture in 2022 are at the final stage of their production and will be delivered to the customer soon, the chief executive stressed.
