Russian coastal defense system strikes Ukrainian ground targets with precision missiles

The launches were conducted as part of fulfilling the tasks of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The combat team of a Bastion coastal defense missile system struck ground targets in Ukraine with two Oniks precision missiles, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

"The team of the Bastion coastal defense missile system launched two Oniks precision missiles from the coast of the Black Sea against designated ground targets on Ukrainian territory," the statement says.

The launches were conducted as part of fulfilling the tasks of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry uploaded a video showing a missile launch.

As Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov reported earlier on Wednesday, on the morning of April 6, air-and ground-launched precision missiles eliminated five fuel and lubricants depots near the communities of Radekhov, Kazatin, Prosyanaya, Nikolayev and Novomoskovsk in Ukraine that were used to supply fuel for the military hardware of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of Kharkov and Nikolayev and in Donbass.
