Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine and Russia committed to peace — adviser

In a post on the X social network, Waltz congratulated 80-year-old Kellogg on the appointment

WASHINGTON, November 28. /TASS/. Gen. Keith Kellogg, appointed by US President-elect Donald Trump to be his special envoy to Ukraine and Russia, is committed to a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, Trump’s future national security adviser Mike Waltz said.

In a post on the X social network, Waltz congratulated 80-year-old Kellogg on the appointment, describing him as "dedicated" to defending the United States and "committed" to bringing the Ukrainian conflict "to a peaceful resolution."

Russian President Vladimir Putin has set forth the conditions for resolving the situation in Ukraine, which included Ukraine withdrawing troops from Donbass and Novorossia and abandoning plans to join NATO. In addition, Moscow insists that all Western sanctions be lifted and Ukraine’s non-bloc and non-nuclear status be guaranteed.

Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat Kamala Harris in the US presidential election held on November 5. His inauguration as the 47th US president is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
