YEKATERINBURG, January 28. /TASS/. Officers of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in the Chelyabinsk region (southern Urals) have detained three citizens of Kyrgyzstan seizing 30 kilograms of heroin, the FSB press service told TASS on Thursday.
They detained a man and a woman as well as their accomplice, a resident of Sweden. "He was supposed to play the role of a courier transporting narcotic goods to various regions of Russia. FSB agents discovered about 5 kilograms of a narcotic substance in his car on the Chelyabinsk-Troitsk highway prepared for marketing in central Russian regions. The remaining batch of heroin was seized in a rented apartment," the press service said.
FSB officers found out that the detained woman was the sister of an influential criminal lord.
Criminal proceedings have been opened against the three malefactors over the illegal large-scale narcotic drugs sale. They are facing prison terms from 15 years to life imprisonment.
