Iran better prepared for possible aggression than in summer of 2025 — Russian envoy

According to Vasily Nebenzya, the situation is alarming

MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. Iran is now better prepared for possible aggression against the country than it had been in the summer of 2025, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"The situation is alarming. And a strike could be launched. However, I think Iran is better prepared for such a turn of events now than it was in June," he said.

"That's why we all advise Americans to measure twice and cut none," the diplomat added.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that a massive armada was heading toward Iran. He expressed hope that Tehran would return to the negotiating table and reach a fair and equitable deal that would entail a complete abolition of nuclear weapons. The American leader noted that in June 2025, the United States launched strikes on nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic, a move dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer. He warned that the next attack would be even worse, calling for not letting that happen.
