JOHANNESBURG, February 20. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has met with his Indian counterpart Dr. S. Jaishankar.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in Johannesburg.

The two top diplomats exchanged greetings and the talks proceeded in a closed-door format.

Earlier on Thursday, Lavrov held bilateral meetings with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The G20 foreign ministers’ meeting is being held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on February 20-21.

South Africa took over the G20 chairmanship from Brazil on December 1, 2024. At the end of November, it will pass the baton to the US. South Africa has chosen the Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability slogan for its G20 chairmanship.
