Russian Emergencies Ministry's airplane brings evacuees from Lebanon to Moscow

Earlier, the Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered 20 tons of humanitarian cargo to Beirut

BEIRUT, November 5. /TASS/. A group of 97 Russian citizens is being evacuated from Beirut to Moscow aboard a Russian Emergencies Ministry Il-76 aircraft, which had previously delivered humanitarian aid to Lebanese residents affected by Israeli military actions.

The evacuation was organized in coordination with the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Embassy in Lebanon, Head of the Russian Consular Section in Beirut Oleg Demirov said in an interview with TASS. "The Russian Emergencies Ministry conducted a special flight to deliver humanitarian aid to Lebanon," he explained. "On its return journey, the plane is bringing the first group of Russian citizens who found themselves in difficult situations due to the ongoing hostilities. These are primarily Russians whose homes have been destroyed and whose neighborhoods have been targeted by constant airstrikes and shelling."

Earlier, the Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered 20 tons of humanitarian cargo to Beirut. The shipment included essential supplies and medications. The transfer ceremony took place at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, attended by Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov and Lebanese Parliament Member Bilal Abdallah.

On October 3, another Il-76 aircraft from the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered additional humanitarian aid to Lebanon, including food, medicines, basic necessities, and 80 kW power stations.
