Putin accuses West of sponsoring terrorism in Russia's backyard

"It is quite logical that the Kiev neo-Nazi regime, supported by the West and sometimes on its direct instructions, has resorted to terrorist methods," the Russian leader noted

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the West of using radical groups against Russia.

"The West practiced the use of all types of cross-border, radical terrorist groups in its interests and encouraged their aggression against Russia," he said at a board meeting of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

"It is quite logical that the Kiev neo-Nazi regime, supported by the West and sometimes on its direct instructions, has resorted to terrorist methods," Putin said. "They include shelling attacks on peaceful cities, assassination attempts on government officials and public activists, attempts to recruit people to commit acts of sabotage and terror attacks on critical infrastructure facilities and crowded places in Russia."
