LUGANSK, March 15. /TASS/. Russian servicemen have seized 11 Ukrainian strongpoints in the Kupyansk area in the zone of the special military operation over the past two days, State Duma Deputy Viktor Vodolatsky told TASS.
"With respect to the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic, the situation here is stable. We are moving forward. Our units are moving toward Kupyansk in the Svatovo area, " he said. "About 11 strongpoints have been taken over the past two days. Everything is going very well."
Vodolatsky also mentioned the ongoing fighting in the Belogorovka area.
"We are moving forward," he said. "I think that in the very near future we will hear and see that Belogorovka is already ours and that 100%, not 99.9%, but 100% of the LPR has been liberated."
The Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday that over over the past day Russian troops had taken control of more favorable battle lines in the Kupyansk direction, repulsed one Ukrainian counterattack and killed up to 30 Ukrainian troops.
