Leadership program for special operation fighters to expand Russia’s talent pool — Putin

The President said this program is meant "not to make someone feel good, but to make sure that Russia has a safety margin in terms of human resources"

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Russia has started a leadership program for special military operation fighters to expand the country’s talent pool, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Putin made the statement about the program, which is called the Time of Heroes, as he was meeting with the winners of another leadership program, which is called the Leaders of Russia. One of the attendees of the meeting, Amir Akkao, who is a fighter of the special military operation, said he had applied to enroll in the Time of Heroes.

To that, Putin said: "Your decision to apply for membership in the Time of Heroes is an absolutely right one. That’s the way to go."

The program is designed for special military operation fighters for a purpose, the president said.

"If the people who deliberately went there (the special military operation area - TASS), risking their lives and health in order to create a platform for moving forward, are not the most reliable people, then who are," Putin said.

He also said this program is meant "not to make someone feel good, but to make sure that Russia has a safety margin in terms of human resources."
