MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/. Units of Russia’s Battlegroup West repelled three attacks by Ukrainian assault groups in the Kupyansk area in the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a daily bulletin of the special military operation.
Here are the details of this and other combat actions that happened over the past day, according to the bulletin.
Kupyansk area
"Units of the battlegroup West, supported by army aircraft and artillery fire, repelled three attacks by assault teams of Ukraine’s 60th and 115th mechanized brigades near the settlement of Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
Ukraine’s military losses amounted to roughly 25 troops, a tank, three cars and an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system.
Krasny Liman area
"Units of the battlegroup Center repelled an attack by an assault team of Ukraine’s 63rd mechanized brigade near the settlement of Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
Also, Russian aircraft and artillery struck the enemy near Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Serebryanka Forestry.
Enemy losses amounted to "roughly 195 troops, a tank, three pickup trucks, a US-made M777 artillery system, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mount and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer."
Donetsk area
Units of the battlegroup South liberated the settlement of Maryinka.
"Units of the battlegroup South, operating in interaction with aircraft and artillery, repelled five attacks and inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army’s personnel and equipment in areas near the settlements of Seversk, Krasnoye, Dyleyevka and Georgiyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy lost a total of up to 205 servicemen and 5 pickup trucks.
"Counter-battery fire destroyed one US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery, two Akatsiya self-propelled artillery units, one Msta-B howitzer, one D-20 cannon, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery and two D-30 howitzers," the ministry said.
South Donetsk area
"The battlegroup East units, together with army aviation and artillery, inflicted firepower damage to personnel and hardware from the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized brigade and 79th air assault brigade in the vicinity of the villages of Vodyanoye and Novomikhaylovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy lost up to 150 troops, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, two vehicles and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system.
Zaporozhye area
"Russian forces repelled an attack of the 117th Mechanized Brigade near Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye Region. Aviation strikes and artillery fire inflicted damage to enemy personnel and vehicles near the settlements of Belogorye and Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
The enemy lost "up to 65 personnel, 2 automobiles and a D-20 cannon.
Kherson area
"The enemy’s losses amounted to 35 personnel and three motor vehicles as a result of operations by units of Russian troops, artillery fire and air strikes," the ministry said.
During counter-battery warfare the enemy lost one M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system and one Gvozdika motorized artillery system.
Air Force and air defenses
Russian jets, drones, rockets and artillery struck Ukrainian troops and military equipment in 107 areas.
"Air defenses shot down two Ukrainian Su-24 aircraft in the areas of the settlements of Zhovten in the Nikolayev Region and Nikolayevka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. Five HIMARS rockets were intercepted," the ministry said.
In addition, 24 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the areas of Tokarevka in the Kharkiv Region; Kremennaya, Svatovo, Lisichansk in the Lugans People’s Republic; Gorlovka, Aleksandrovka, Staromikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic; and Obryvka in the Kherson Region.
