ST. PETERSBURG, June 17. /TASS/. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made a visit to Kiev in order to shift the focus from his country’s growing problems, Russian Permanent Representative to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov told TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday.
"Everyone went there, but he was left behind," Chizhov said, commenting on Johnson’s visit to Kiev that followed a Ukraine trip by the leaders of Germany, France, Italy and Romania.
"Moreover, he is facing a lot of issues at home and at least needs to take the heat off occasionally. However, I have major doubts that it will help him," the Russian envoy added.
