Almost 2,500 people evacuated from Orsk due to flooding — emergencies services

It is reported that in the morning of April 9, as many as 6,995 residential buildings remain flooded in the city

TASS, April 9. About 2,500 residents of Orsk, Russia’s Orenburg Region, including almost 800 children, have been evacuated due to the flooding, the emergencies services reported.

"According to the latest data, 2,493 people have been evacuated from Orsk, including 797 children," a spokesperson for the emergencies services said.

On the morning of April 9, as many as 6,995 residential buildings remain flooded in the city, he said.
