Russia expects to see officials from dozens of countries at Eastern Economic Forum

According to Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev, the interest in the Forum is not lower than in previous years

MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Representatives of dozens of countries are expected to attend the Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok on September 10-13, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev told reporters, adding that interest in the forum this year is at the same level as last year, if not higher.

"Today we do not feel that the interest in the Forum is lower than in previous years. We also count on the presence of representatives of dozens of neighboring and non-neighboring countries from all over the world. We will work together," he said.

Last year, the Eastern Economic Forum was attended by more than 7,000 participants from 68 countries and territories. The largest foreign delegations were from China, Myanmar, Mongolia, India, Armenia and South Korea. As part of the Forum's main program, over 100 events were held and 296 agreements were signed for a total of 3.3 trillion rubles ($35.8 bln).
