MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The placement of funds from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) into authorized financial assets generated an income of 52.3 billion rubles ($694 mln) in 2022, the Russian Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"Incomes the federal budget received in 2022 from the placement of NWF funds in authorized financial assets amounted to 52.3 billion rubles," the statement says.

In the meantime, the financial result from the placement of NWF funds on foreign currency accounts with the Bank of Russia, taking into account the loss outstanding for the previous interest period, amounted to a negative value of minus 6.18 billion rubles (- $82 mln).

"In accordance with the terms of the bank account agreement governing the placement of the NWF funds on accounts with the Central Bank, this loss is attributed to the financial result of the following interest periods and is compensated by future income in the corresponding amount," the Finance Ministry explained.
