Evraz received license for continuation of North American subsidiaries operation — company

On May 5, the UK authorities added Evraz to the sanction list

MOSCOW, May 6. /TASS/. Evraz obtained the license enabling subsidiaries in North America to continue operations on April 29 of this year, the Russian mining and metals company said in a statement on the London Stock Exchange.

"On 29 April 2022, OFSI issued General License INT/2022/1710676 under Regulation 64 of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 ("the Russia Regulations") which allows for the continuation of business operations of the North American subsidiaries of Evraz," the company said.

"The Company will inform investors about key developments in due course," Evraz added.

It became known on May 5 that UK authorities added Evraz to the sanction list, which provides for the freeze of its assets in the country. It also means the ban for UK individuals and legal entities to do business with the company.
