LONDON, November 23. /TASS/. Ukraine has lost control over more than 40% of territories in Russia’s borderline Kursk Region it seized in an August attack, Reuters said, citing a source in the Ukrainian General Staff.
"At most, we controlled about 1,376 square kilometers, now of course this territory is smaller," the source said. "Now we control approximately 800 square kilometres."
According to the agency, Ukraine’s attack on the Kursk Region was aimed at slowing down Russia’s offensives in Donbass and use its control of Russia’s territories as an extra leverage in potential peace talks, but "Russian forces are still advancing.".
