No damage to civilian facilities in Ukrainian drone attack on Oryol region — governor

Andrey Klychkov said that no consequences for civilian facilities were caused

MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Air defense forces downed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Oryol Region last night, governor of the western Russian region, Andrey Klychkov, said.

"Last night, air defenses repelled another drone attack in the skies above the Oryol Region as a fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle was downed. According to preliminary information, no consequences for civilian facilities were caused," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported earlier that, last night and in the small hours of Sunday, air defense forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 35 drones over eight Russian regions. In particular, 17 drones were downed in southern Russia’s Krasnodar Region, four drones each in central Russia’s Moscow and Yaroslavl regions, three drones each in the borderline Russian regions of Belgorod and Kursk, two UAVs in the skies above the Kaluga Region, a drone in the Oryol Region and another one in the Rostov Region in Russia’s south.
