MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. Russian forces eliminated over 35 Ukrainian troops in the Kherson area in the past day, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"In the Kherson area, over 35 [Ukrainian] troops and five motor vehicles were eliminated as a result of well-coordinated activities by units of Battlegroup Dnepr and artillery forces," the statement reads.

According to the Defense Ministry, a US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, two US-made M777 artillery systems, two Msta-B howitzers and a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system were destroyed in the area in the past day.
