Twenty-two humanitarian corridors opened in Ukraine on Thursday — Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, March 24./TASS/. The Russian side opened ten humanitarian corridors on March 24. Ukraine coordinated only three of them and requested another 12 routes, Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Thursday.

According to him, humanitarian corridors were opened on Thursday from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol, one to Russia and another one towards the western borders of Ukraine under the Kiev control for each city.

"Out of the routes that we suggested, the Ukrainian authorities coordinated only three," he noted. "The official Kiev once again refused to confirm any of the humanitarian corridors to the Russian Federation," Mizintsev said. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side announced 12 additional corridors from Kiev, Zhitomir, Zaporozhye and Donetsk during the past 24 hours, he added.
