NEW YORK, May 4. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said that Washington is closer to an agreement with one of the parties to the conflict in Ukraine, but declined to specify which one.
"I do believe that we are closer (to the agreement) with one party, and maybe not as close with the other, but I’d like not to say which one we are closer to. But we did do a deal for the American people that was good, we were able to get the rare earths," he said in an interview with NBC News.
He said that his predecessor Joe Biden just gave away $350 billion and "no one knows where the money is."
He reiterated that the Ukrainian conflict was "Biden’s war" and that "this is a war that was never gonna happen if I were president."
He added he was sure the current negotiations will result in a decision that would be good for the US.
Trump said the parties of the conflict had "a very good chance of" striking the deal. However, he admitted that the deal may turn out to be impossible.
