MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Russian actor Mark Eydelshteyn, who played the lead role in the Oscar-winning movie Anora, has ended up in the database of the Ukrainian extremist website Peacemaker.
The website says the 23-year-old actor is listed for "encroachment on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and repeated deliberate violation of the Ukrainian state border."
Eydelshteyn rose to fame after playing the lead role in the drama Sasha's Country (2022). He later starred in Anora (2024), which won Best Picture, the main Academy Award. Earlier this year, the actor entered the long list of nominees for the main award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, also known as BAFTA.
The extremist website Peacemaker was set up in 2014. It contains an illegally collected database of personal data of people, including journalists, artists or politicians, who visited Crimea, Donbass or engaged in some other activity that caused condemnation from the people behind the website. Access to the website has been blocked in Russia by a court.
