Israel gets latest proposals on Gaza, puts forward own counter-proposal — premier’s office

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a series of consultations

TEL AVIV, March 30. /TASS/. Israel has received from mediators a proposal regarding the Gaza Strip, and put forward its own counter-proposal, the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel said.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a series of consultations yesterday pursuant to the proposal that was received from the mediators," the office said in a statement. "A few hours ago, Israel conveyed to the mediators a counter-proposal in full coordination with the US."

Previously, Israel’s Kan radio said citing sources that Palestine’s radical Hamas movement may release several hostages to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
