Ukrainian conflict to be resolved based on reality — Romanian political scientist

According to Dan Dungaciu, "Europe’s short-term security value is minimal, and even a potential European peacekeeping mission [in Ukraine] would still require security guarantees from the Americans"

BUCHAREST, February 24. /TASS/. The Ukrainian conflict will be resolved "based on realities," and not on some wishful ideological ideals, said Romanian political scientist Dan Dungaciu.

"Ukraine is just one of [a number of] dossiers that [US President Donald] Trump must resolve peacefully <...>. One dossier, and not the most important one. Because Ukraine <...> is not a problem for America's security, and the Europeans should understand this. This is why the dossier will be settled based on reality, not wishful thinking or ideological fixations," he said in an interview with the Agerpres agency.

According to the expert, "Europe’s short-term security value is minimal, and even a potential European peacekeeping mission [in Ukraine] would still require security guarantees from the Americans."
