Former Ukrainian president says frontline situation more difficult than ever

Pyotr Poroshenko specified that Ukrainian troops stationed in the Krasnoarmeisk and Kupyansk areas "are desperately calling out" about the lack of drones

MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces’ situation on the frontline has never been as difficult as it is now, the country’s former President Pyotr Poroshenko said in the Verkhovna Rada (parliament).

"The situation on the frontline has never been so difficult, not even in March 2022," he pointed out.

Poroshenko added that Ukrainian troops stationed in the Krasnoarmeisk and Kupyansk areas "are desperately calling out" about the lack of drones.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces said on December 15 that Kurakhovo was one of the areas where the situation was the most intense. On the same day, Vladimir Zelensky stated that the situation in the Krasnoarmeisk area was also difficult for the Ukrainian army. The next day, Ukraine’s Strana media outlet reported, citing military sources, that the country’s troops were falling into "one trap after another" in the Kurakhovo area.
