MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. The assault units of Russia’s Battlegroup South are completing a mop-up operation in the city of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the group's spokesman Vadim Astafyev said.
"In Konstantinovka, the assault units of Battlegroup South are completing the mop-up operation, clearing the city of scattered formations of the Ukrainian armed forces," he said.
According to him, during the day, Ukraine’s losses in the city amounted to up to 80 soldiers, a Puma armored personnel carrier, 20 vehicles, and a self-propelled artillery installation.
He also said that 24 ground-based robotic complexes, four ATVs and 27 Ukrainian UAV control points had been destroyed. On July 3, Russia’s Chief of the General Staff, Army General Valery Gerasimov, reported to President Vladimir Putin on the liberation of Konstantinovka.
