Top Turkish diplomat calls for taking note of Putin’s remarks about nuclear weapons

The Russian President said that Russia would be forced to use all weapons at its disposal if Ukraine obtained nuclear arms

ANKARA, November 30. /TASS/. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has called for taking note of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statements about nuclear weapons.

"It would be a gross simplification to view Russian President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear rhetoric only as a threat. All conventional weapons have been used [in Ukraine] but the war still continues. There are two options: either peace will prevail or the war will spiral out of control. This is why Putin’s nuclear rhetoric should be taken into account," he noted, as cited by the Yeni Safak newspaper.

Putin said on November 28 that Russia would be forced to use all weapons at its disposal if Ukraine obtained nuclear arms. He also noted that Moscow would not let Ukraine go nuclear.
