Over 100 humanitarian aid trucks arrive in Gaza within 8 days — Israeli Foreign Ministry

The aid included water, food and medical supplies

TEL AVIV, October 30. /TASS/. A total of 108 trucks of humanitarian aid has been delivered to the Gaza Strip within the last 8 days, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said on its X page.

"A total of 108 trucks of humanitarian aid have entered Gaza in the past eight days," the Foreign Ministry said, noting that the aid included water, food and medical supplies.

On October 29, the Al-Qahera al-Ekhbariya TV channel reported that a convoy of ten trucks carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza population arrived through the Rafah checkpoint. According to its sources, Egypt intensifies its contacts with all sides to ensure deliveries of larger volumes of humanitarian aid to the enclave.

On October 26, Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit said, speaking in the UN Security Council, that the Palestinians "hope that 100 trucks of humanitarian aid will arrive in Gaza daily." According to the official, the vehicles coming through the Rafah checkpoint today are a "drop in the ocean" of the growing demand of Palestinian people. Later, US media reported that Israel agreed to speed up truck inspections in order to let 100 trucks enter the Gaza Strip daily.
