Russia records 14,516 daily COVID cases, 40 deaths — crisis center

As many as 1,546 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 12.5% from a day earlier

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 14,516 over the past day to 22,314,520, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Friday.

A day earlier, 14,096 daily cases were recorded.

As many as 1,546 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 12.5% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in 49 regions, while in 26 regions the figure increased. The situation remained unchanged in ten regions. A day earlier, 1,766 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,427 over the past day versus 2,788 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,426,985, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,334 over the past day versus 1,215 a day earlier, reaching 1,881,818.

COVID-19 recoveries

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 11,512 over the past day, reaching 21,656,858, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.

A day earlier some 13,937 patients recovered.

COVID-19 death toll

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 40 over the past day, reaching 396,216, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.

A day earlier 39 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
