LPR says town of Popasnaya fully went under its control

LUGANSK, May 10. /TASS/. A spokesman for Lugansk People’s Republic’s militia Ivan Filiponenko on Monday said the town of Popasnaya completely came under its control.

"The settlement of Popasnaya has fully come under the control of the LPR’s People’s Militia," Filiponenko, told reporters. "Out units, with the support of the Russian armed forces, have liberated the town, knocking out the enemy beyond its limits."

Every effort is now made to improve the humanitarian situation and restore the work of critical services, he said. The spokesman said Ukraine’s forces continue to shell Popasnaya and other areas "trying to wipe out the cities that they leave.".
