TEHRAN, April 13. /TASS/. Iran’s embassy in London on Wednesday denied a British news report that Iranian weapons were shipped to Russia for the special operation in Ukraine.
"Trying to link the recent developments in Ukraine to the developments in the Middle East and mentioning the name of the Islamic Republic of Iran is an unprofessional and unacceptable act," the embassy said on Twitter.
The embassy described the report as "an unrealistic and baseless storytelling."
The embassy was referring to a news report that said there were weapons shipments from Iran and Iraq, including air defense systems, to Russia for use in the special operation in Ukraine. Baghdad has officially denied the report.
