ST. PETERSBURG, June 15. /TASS/. VK and Lesta Games studio signed a memorandum of cooperation during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), under which they will create game content and promote eSports projects for professional and novice players, as well as develop streaming services, the press service of VK reported on Wednesday.
"VK and Lesta Games announce a partnership planning to expand the gaming industry and eSports in Russia. Its key areas include developing collaborative product integrations, advertising technologies and solutions, as well creating gaming, entertainment, and educational content," the press service said. The companies will also promote eSports projects for professional and novice players and develop streaming services.
Lesta Studio is a Russian video game developer. The company is working on the naval MMO World of Warships (part of a trilogy with World of Tanks and World of Warplanes) and mobile strategy game Warfair.
The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is held on June 15-18. The plenary session of the forum with the participation of Vladimir Putin will be held on June 17. According to Roscongress, representatives from more than 90 countries are expected to attend SPIEF this year. As of June 1, more than 2,700 business representatives have confirmed their participation in the forum.
